The Mitsubishi Dion is a compact van of the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors . As announced at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, the Mitsubishi Dion was launched in January 2000 in Japan. The platform for the Dion offered the Lancer / Mirage station wagon, with seven seats in a 2-3-2 combination. The name Dion is derived from the Greek god of wine and joy Dionysus .

Available were a 2.0-liter four-cylinder inline engine with 135 hp (99 kW), a 1.8-liter engine with GDI (gasoline direct injection) and the same power, as well as a 2.0-liter engine with GDI and an output of 165 hp (121 kW).
