Isdera ( I ngenieurbüro for S tyling, De sign and Ra cing) is a 1982 Leonberg established German automobile manufacturers. Since 2016, the company headquarters is located in Saarwellingen .
Eberhard Schulz , developer at Porsche , presented his first own sports car in 1968, the Erator GTE . During the development he had tested series engineering of Porsche and Mercedes-Benz resorted. In 1978 he achieved a breakthrough in cooperation with the Frankfurt company B & B Automobiltechnik with his presentation of the CW 311 study .With this experience, Schulz founded his own engineering firm in 1982, which he registered as a limited liability company on November 30, 1983. As logo, he chose an eagle on a blue background. In 1983, the Spyder debuted in 1984 the Emperor (an evolution of the CW 311), 1993, the Commendatore and 2006 the highway courier .
At Auto China in Beijing in 2018, Isdera introduced the Commendatore GT. This is a 2 + 2 seater full-electric coupe. The vehicle has two electric motors with 300 kW each and a battery with 100 kWh capacity. The vehicle uses innovative 800 volt technology.
