The type A is a car of  which Brennabor-Werke brought out in 1928 in addition to the smaller type Z.

History

The vehicle had a 6-cylinder SV- series engine with 2.55 liter displacement built in the front. This developed 45 hp at 3300 rpm. About a single-disc dry clutch and a four-speed gearbox with gear lever in the center of the car, he drove the rear wheels. The cars with U-profile Pressstahl frame had rigid axles with semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs and were available exclusively as a four-door Pullman sedan. The mechanical foot brake acted on all four wheels, the handbrake on the cardan shaft .

The following year, in addition to the long chassis AL still a short chassis AK was offered. The otherwise technically identical car was available as a four-door sedan or convertible sedan or two-door convertible.

In 1928, in addition to the AL, the ASL and, in addition to the AK, the ASK . These vehicles had a larger engine with 3.1 liters and 55 hp.In 1929, the ASL was replaced by the AFL and the ASK by the AFK . These models differed from their predecessors by a three-speed transmission and a slightly cheaper purchase price. The AFK was available only as a convertible sedan.

Of the A-types created until 1930 about 10,000 made.
