The first-generation Buick Enclave is a 2007 to 2017 produced Sport Utility Vehicle of the American brand Buick from the General Motors Group.

History

The design of the Enclave was based on the 2003 study Centieme , which was first presented at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The notion of a near-series concept car, which already bore the name Enclave, was held at the NAIAS of 2006. ^[At the LA Auto Show in the same year was finally shown the production model.

From model year 2008 as a technical basis the Lambda - platform by GM with the models Chevrolet Traverse , GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook . In the model range of Buick Enclave replaced the SUV models Rendezvous and Rainier and the people carrier Terraza .

For model year 2013, the vehicle was revised.

In North America, the first generation of the Buick Enclave was replaced by the Buick Enclave (2017) for model year 2018 .  

Facelift

The Buick Enclave underwent a major model maintenance for model year 2013, and the revised model was unveiled on April 3, 2012 at the New York International Auto Show .  remained While technology continues to be the interior and exterior design were revised vehicle fundamentally, the analog clock remained in the cockpit.

The Enclave was this redesigned xenon headlights with LED - daytime running lights , a redesigned front bumper and rear lights with LED light guides. 

The interior has been enhanced by new climate control controls, new wood trims and a standard GM IntelliLink infotainment system, making the interior much more modern.

The safety equipment has been supplemented by a newly developed "front center airbag ",  which is attached to the inside of the seat and should help in collisions to prevent a collision of the passengers and thus minimize the risk of injury. It is standard on all models of the Enclave.

When carried out for the 2008 model year with the GMC Acadia crash test of the IIHS the vehicle in the test "moderate overlap front" is rated "Good",  the US NCAP -Crashtest as Chevrolet Traverse in 2011 it received five stars in the Appreciation.

The model was from 2007 to the calendar year 2017 at GM's Delta Township in Lansing built (Michigan). 2015 was a white Buick Enclave, the two millionth vehicle,  which was built in this factory.

In the interior, the Buick Enclave has three rows of seats for seven people. The vehicle is either equipped with front or optionally four-wheel drive vehicle from a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine with a maximum power of 205 kW (275  hp ) in the first model year (engine code LY7),  from then 215 kW (288 hp) (engine code LLT). ^[Between the engine and powertrain is a 6- speed automatic transmission .

Equipment 

Equipment levels are high on all Enclave models, so the Enclave is positioned as the "luxury version" of the GM Lambda platform, and accordingly more expensive than its corporate brothers Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia.

From model year 2012, the equipment variants of "CX" and "CXL" were renamed "Convenience", "Leather" and "Premium".

The basic equipment "Convenience Group" is already well equipped, including the IntelliLink radio with touch screen, USB port and XM radio , on-board computer, 3-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable driver's seat, 18-inch aluminum wheels, electric Openable and closable tailgate, xenon headlights, reversing camera and parking aid for the rear area.

This is followed by the "Leather Group". It also includes electrically adjustable leather seats with heated seats, blind spot warning system (BLIS) and 19-inch aluminum wheels.

The highest equipment line is the "Premium Group". It also includes a Bose audio system, collision warning, lane departure warning, front seat cooling and an electrically adjustable steering column. 

Alternatively, a navigation system, an entertainment system for the rear seats and from "Premium Group" a panoramic sunroof for all Enclave models. 

The standard equipment was supplemented in North America only for the model year 2014 by two USB charging options for smartphones in the second row.
