Leyland Tiger TS6 Bus.
The Tiger TS6 was introduced in 1933. A 4-wheeled chassis of 17ft 6in wheelbase, it is built to carry 27ft 6in long bodywork, with a width of 7ft 6in. Optional engines available were a Leyland 6-cylinder 8.8 litre petrol engine or the Leyland 8.6 litre 6-cylinder oil engine.
Servo brakes are fitted, whilst the gearbox is of the sliding mesh type, with constant mesh helical gears for the third speed A 3-axle version was introduced in 1935, classed the TS6T. Designed to carry bodywork of 30ft overall length, this model has a of 18ft 10in.
The drive on the TS6T is to the leading rear axle, the second axle being unpowered. Production of the TS6 and TS6T ceased early in 1936.
