Serengeti was a German car brand from the 1970s.
The company Haag Plasticbau from Gerlingen began in 1970 with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Serengeti . The production ran until at least 1972.
The only model was a VW buggy . The body was made of plastic . Striking was a particularly high waistline and a hinged front hood. The spare wheel was outside at the rear. The basis of the vehicle was shortened by 36 cm chassis of the VW beetle . For the drive provided the four cylinder VW boxer engine with 40 hp . The new prices amounted to 4007 DM for the kit and 6438 DM for the complete vehicle.
