The MW small cars GmbH , previously Minimobil cars Fries GmbH , was a German manufacturer of automobiles .

History

Adalbert W. Fries founded the company Minimobil-Wagen Fries GmbH in Wielenbach in 1982 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was MW . 1984, the name was changed to MW Kleinwagen GmbH .  1988 ended the production.In total over 1000 vehicles produced. On April 6, 1994, the company was dissolved.

The company produced four-wheeled Micro cars. First model was the cityboy . With two-stroke engine with 50 cc engine capacity and 3.2 hp  and 25 km/h speed limit . The vehicle was 212 cm long. The original price was originally 6850 DM , but was then set to 9000 DM. From 1984, a built-in motor of Fichtel & Sachs with 50 cc displacement and 4 hp was used. In 1985, the open Sunnyboy followed with an electric motor for 9740 DM. The range was stated at 50 to 120 km.
