Kodiak (Speed & Sport GmbH )
Kodiak was a German sports car brand from the 1980s from Stuttgart.
The company Speed & Sport GmbH from Stuttgart under the leadership of Mladen Mitrović exhibited a self-developed sports car at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt in 1983. Subsequently, production started in small series. By around 1990 ended the production.
The only model F1 was a sports car. The coupe with gullwing doors resembled the Mercedes-Benz C 111 .The body consisted of Kevlar and carbon fiber reinforced plastic. In the first vehicle, a V8 engine of Chevrolet with 5400 cc displacement and 348 hp (256 kW) for the drive. followed more vehicles with the Chevrolet engine. Other units were built with an engine of Daimler-Benz with 6,000 cc displacement and 550 hp (405 kW) With this engine, the empty weight was given as 1,000 kg and the acceleration from zero to 200 kmh and less than ten seconds. With the vehicle motor that the buyer could order an engine of their choice.
