The Westfälische automobile company Bernhard Feldmann & Co. was a car accessories dealer and automobile manufacturer in Soest . In the representation for Fafnir -Motorenbausätze of the name Omnimobil also passenger cars were manufactured starting from 1905.
The Feldmann Mermaid had a two-cylinder -motor from Fafnir with 804 cc displacement and a power of 6 hp (4.4 kW) . Through a three-speed gearbox and chains, the engine power of the four-seater torpedo was forwarded to the rear wheels. The achievable top speed was 50 km / h.
As a result, emerged cars with four-cylinder engine , 1910 a 6/20 hp and 1911 a 8/40 hp and a 10/25 hp . The 8/40 hp had an engine with 2120 cc, made 40 hp (29 kW) and reached a top speed of 100 km / h.
