Bartlett 1915 Tourer
Canadian Bartlett Automobile Co Ltd, Toronto and Stratford, Ont. Named after its inventor, R.C Bartlett, these cars were equipped with thin, solid rubber tyres, designed supposedly to last the life of the car, Suspension was entirely dependent upon pneumatic rubber cushions located between the frame and axles instead of conventional springs.
Approximately 600 tourers,roadsters and trucks were constructed before shortages of parts ended production in World War l. The first seven cars had Northway engines, the balance Le Roi. Bartlett made the first 4-wheel-brake cars in Canada. which improved stopping time,unlike previous cars.
