  • Bedford Wilson Bros (1904)

Bedford (Wilson Bros)

Automotive manufacturer of Great Britain from 1904.

Wilson Bros was a early British manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was Bedford .

History

The Wilson brothers were electrical engineers. They founded the company in Bedford and began in 1904 with the production of automobiles. In the same year ended the car production. In the 1920s, co-operation with CE Humphreys came from the same place.

The cars on offer included three models. The smallest was the 6 HP . A single-cylinder engine powered the vehicle. The open body could accommodate two people. Unusual were the solid rubber tires. The models 10 HP with two-cylinder engine and 16 HP with four-cylinder engine had pneumatic tires . For the largest model, there was a touring car body from Védrine .
