Miles (Joubert Miles)

Automotive manufacturer of Great Britain from 1910 to 1912.

Joubert Miles was a British manufacturer of bicycles and automobiles in the 1910s.

History

Joubert Miles founded the company from Sharpness in Gloucestershire, in the 1880s and started producing bicycles. Later he made motorcycle frames for other manufacturers. Between 1910 and 1912 he produced automobiles. The brand name was Miles . The bicycle production ended only after the Second World War .

Miles mainly produced small cars. The first model was a self-developed tricycle with tubular frame. Common to many vehicles was the built-in motor of JAP and the chain drive. The choice was air cooling and water cooling . Later, a four-wheeled small car was on offer. In addition, there was a larger vehicle, of which only one or two copies emerged
