Saxan (IJF Developments Kit Carmakers)

Manufactured in Rishton , Lancashire Great Britain from 1993 to 2000.

IJF Developments was a British manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was Saxan .

History

Ian Ferrier founded the company in 1992 in Rishton , Lancashire. There in 1993 began production of cars and kits . In total  about twelve copies built.  In around 2000 the production ended.

The first model was the Warrior . This was an SUV with all-wheel drive . The base was the ladder frame of Daihatsu Rocky or Daihatsu Taft . On it a  fiberglass body was mounted. There was a choice of station wagon , cabriolet and pick-up . From this model emerged from 1992 about eight vehicles.

The 1993 presented Crusader was designed similarly. The windscreen was larger, the doors were wider and had crank windows. The interior offered more space, especially in the rear area. This model found about four buyers.
