Tony Claydon was a British manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was Tara .
In 1978 ex racing driver Tony Claydon created his first prototype design Tony Claydon later founded the company CHAD Claydon-Hamilton Automotive Design in 1989 in Billericay in the county of Essex .They started producing automobiles and kits . In 1998 the production ended. In total, about three copies were created.
The model was the Tara 2 fitted with a Rover V8 . The base was a space frame chassis supplied by Southern Roadcraft . Then a fibreglass coupe body was mounted, which had been designed Claydon. Striking were the folding headlights .
