Brough was a British manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles in the early part of the 20th century .

History

William E. Brough founded the company in 1898 in the Nottingham suburb of Basford and began with the production of motorcycles. His sons William junior and George Brough supported him. The brand name was Brough . By 1913, also created a few automobiles. In 1919 George Brough founded his own company Brough Superior . In 1925 Brough Superior took over the company.

The first model was a small car with three wheels. A built-in 2.5 hp engine from De Dion-Bouton powered by a belt to the rear axle. Later 8hp V-twin engine for the Monocar, the company produced some four-wheeled vehicles production was untill 1913 then just motorcycles.
