Unicorn (Blee Motors)

Automotive Manufacturer of Killingworth , Tyne and Wear; Great Britain from 1986 to 1989.

Blee Motors was a British manufacturer of kit type automobiles .The brand name was Unicorn.

History

Dave Brooks, Richard Martin and John Woolatt founded the company in 1986 in Killingworth in the county of Tyne and Wear . They started producing automobiles, motorcycles and kits . In total, only about four copies were created making them as rare as a Unicorn. By 1989 ended production

The model Blee was inspired by the Lotus Seven . The open two-seat body was made of aluminum . Many parts came from Morris Marina . Between 1986 and 1987.Also between 1988 and 1989, a kit motorcycle was on offer and found three buyers. The frame looked like the Yamaha FJ 900 . Many parts came from Suzuki GS 500 E , as well as the four-stroke engine .
