Bijou (Protector Lamp & Lighting Co. Ltd.)
Bijou was a British automobile brand, which was by Protector Lamp & Lighting Co. Ltd. produced in Eccles in Lancashire starting with gas and oil lighting apparatus for collieries, By 1901 they started with the production of Automobiles.
In 1901 the first model was a small two-seat runabout with a single-cylinder 5hp underfloor engine installed at the rear . The starter crank was mounted inside the car below the seat. The brand later also made small vans but disappeared from the market by 1904.
