Alan Wilkinson Engineering was a British manufacturer of kit car automobiles .
Alan Wilkinson founded the company in 1979 in Yeovil , County Somerset . He made plastics , supplying, among other aircraft manufacturers . In 1990, the production of automobiles and kits began . The brand name was AWE . 1998 ended the production. A total of 15 units were built.
Wilkinson made the model Roadster . This was a doorless 1930s-style roadster . On offer were the versions Pintall and Redwing with fixed front fenders. The base was a modified chassis of Triumph .
