Company History
The Company The Great Horseless Carriage Co Limited began in 1897 in Coventry with the production of automobiles. 1898 was renamed to The Motor Manufacturing Co Limited. In 1907 another name change to The Motor Manufacturing Co 1907 Limited and the move to Clapham . 1908 production ended .
Production began in 1898 with MMC tricycles and copies of the De Dion engine. The copy was used by the British Army in the Boer War. They also advertised the Motocyclette, with the engine over the front wheel, which it drove by belt.Cars Production
