Speedwell Motor Company (1900-1906)
Speedwell was a British manufacturer of automobiles.
The company Speedwell Motor and Engineering Company Limited started in 1900 in Reading with the production of automobiles. In 1906 it was renamed the New Speedwell Motor Company Limited and moved to London.
Around 1908, the production was stopped .
In 1904 there were 6 HP models with a single-cylinder engine installation of De Dion -Bouton with 699 cc , 9 HP with single-cylinder engine with 1032 cc and 25 hp four-cylinder engine with 4084 cc capacity .
In 1905 models 10/12 HP with two-cylinder engine with 1961 cc and 14/16 HP four-cylinder engine with 2497 cc capacity .
In 1906 there was the 18/22 HP four-cylinder engine with 3922 cc and 1907, the six-cylinder model 40 HP with 7413 cc capacity . In the last year of production was the offer from the four-cylinder models 25 HP with 4942 cc capacity , 24/30 HP with 4849 cc capacity , 30/35 HP with 5322 cc displacement as well as the six-cylinder model 45/60 HP with 7273 cc capacity .
