Taunton Cars History (1913 to 1920)

 


Taunton Cars Limited was a British car manufacturer, from 1913-1920. The cars were supposed to be built in Belgium because of the First World War, but it never came to a production there. Only a few units were built in the UK.

1913 14 hp with a water-cooled four-cylinder inline engine with 2.4 l displacement. The wheelbase was 3048 mm. There was a touring car offered with two seats. By 1915,

1919  a smaller 12/15 hp with a four-cylinder in-line engine with 1.85 liter displacement. The chassis had a wheelbase of 2896 mm. 1920 there was an even smaller model, the 12 hp 1.5 liter  engine. Its wheelbase was also 2896 mm.

BY the end of 1921, the brand had disappeared from the market.
