The Bristol LWL type bus was introduced on the home market in 1951, the Bristol LWL which had been available as an export since 1948, is an 8ft wide version of the 30 ft long LL model. With a wheelbase of 19ft it was offered with a choice of either a Gardner 5LW or Bristol A V W 6-cylinder engine.
These were classified as the LWL5G and LWL6B models respectively. Both are fitted with a 5-speed overdrive gearbox and triple servo brakes.
Although production continued until 1954, only a handful were built after 1952.
