DS (Dewaet & Stoewer)

Dewaet was a Belgian manufacturer of automobiles . The brand name was DS , for Dewaet and Stoewer.

History

The company from Brussels exhibited two vehicles at the Brussels Motor Show in December 1934 and began producing automobiles. 

The vehicles were built after licenses from the German firm Stoewer . These were the Stoewer R 150 and Stoewer Greif V8 models . The former had a four-cylinder engine with 1466 cc displacement and the other model had a V8 engine with 2488 cc displacement.

In 1935 the production ended after only a few copies.
