Ateliers Déchamps Baudouin

 

The SA of the Atelier HP Déchamps was founded in 1898. The work was located on Boulevard Baudouin in Brussels .

They offered vehicles were marketed as Déchamps . On December 31, 1899, the company was renamed SA of Moteurs et Automobiles Déchamps . The brand name Baudouin was used from January 1904 when new models were developed. 

History

The SA of the Atelier HP Déchamps was founded in 1898 in Brussels. The work was located on Boulevard Baudouin in Brussels . The offered vehicles were marketed as Déchamps. On December 31, 1899, the company was renamed SA of Moteurs et Automobiles Déchamps . The brand name Déchamps was still used until January 1904. The successor models were marketed under the brand Baudouin . In the same building was the Société de Construction Mécaniques et d'Automobiles, which manufactured between 1904 and 1905 cars under the brand name Direct .

In 1899, the first motor-driven vehicle was introduced. It was a tricycle with a De Dion-Bouton engine that made 1.75  hp . In 1900, a separate engine was also available for this tricycle, which made 2.75 hp. A tricycle has been preserved and was in the Autotron Rosmalen in Rosmalen , Netherlands to visit.

1899 followed by a four-wheeled Voiturette, whose two-cylinder engine was arranged in the rear and made 3 hp.

1900 came out the two-cylinder model 4.5 CV and the four-cylinder model 8 CV .

1901 came the 6 CV with single-cylinder engine and 6 hp, the 12 CV with two-cylinder engine and 12 hp and the 20 CV with four-cylinder engine and 20 hp on the market.

1902, the range to the models was 7 CV with single-cylinder engine and 7 PS, 8 CV with two-cylinder engine and 8 PS, 14 CVwith four-cylinder engine, 4398 cc displacement and 14 hp and 16 CV with four-cylinder engine and 16 hp expanded.

From 1903 to January 1904 there was the two-cylinder model 9/10 CV with 2199 cc displacement and the four-cylinder model 18 CV with 5026 cc and 18 hp.

1906 ended the production.Also In the same building was the Société de Construction Mécaniques et d'Automobiles , which manufactured between 1904 and 1905 cars under the brand name Direct .

From 1904 to 1906 there were the four-cylinder models 15 CV with 15 hp and 25 CV with 25 hp. The engines had OHC valve control .
