BEDFORD WTB Bus

From 1935 to 1939

With a wheelbase of 13ft 1lin, the Bedford W TB made its debut in 1935.

This was in many respects a longer version of the WLB, capable of carrying With 26-seat long bodywork.

Originally fitted with the Bedford 3.18 litre 27hp 6-cylinder petrol engine, it continued unaltered until 1938, when a larger Bedford 6-cylinder petrol engine was used, this being of 3.519 litres , known commonly as the 28hp unit.

With a 4-speed sliding mesh gearbox is fitted, and mechanical brakes are vacuum servo assisted.

When production ended in 1939, 3,220 of this model had been built.
