History

B10 3.5 based on the BMW 535i (E28) and the B10 3.5 Coupé based on the BMW 635 CSi (E24) .The B10 3.5 Coupe was the only version of the B10 that wasn't based on a 5-series BMW.

Alpina B10 was the designation for several passenger car models built in small series from 1985 to 2003 by the German automobile manufacturer Alpina in the upper middle class and luxury class . All cars were based on the BMW models of the 5 and 6 series and were given their own model number, as is usual with Alpina.

The second model appeared in 1988, the third model in 1998. From February 2005, the successor Alpina B5 based on the BMW E60 / E61 was produced.

The 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine was reworked and its output increased from 136 kW to 192 kW. Only 77 units of the B10 3.5 and 44 units of the B10 3.5 Coupé were produced. A planned successor version of the B10 3.5 Coupé with catalytic converter was never built.
