Siunction with Park Royal Vehicles Ltd. having a wheelbase of 16ft 4in it is powered by an AEC 6-cylinder oil engine of 6.754 litres capacity.
A choice of transmission was offered, with either a fluid flywheel and 4-speed Monocontrol epicyclic gearbox or friction clutch and 5-speed synchromesh gearbox. These variants were classified by AEC as MC2RA and MC3RA respectively. Both were fitted with air brakes. A further option was that of vacuum brakes, which were offered on the manual gearbox model, and this was classified MC3RV. The Mono-coach remained in production until 1958 although only 359 were built.
